ADDITIONAL SCRIPTS

The COVID years interfered with all theatrical efforts. My “one new production a year” plan was one of them. Zoom was an option, then fits and starts with venues caused hope and cancellations through out 2021 and 2022. One script suffering disappointment follows.

My 2021 script, The Chevy’s at the Levee, is the story of three old guys having a last fling. They grew up together, married, had families, vacationed and always stuck together. Their kids raised, their wives gone, they are off on what they come to realize is their last big journey; a hilarious but poignant adventure.

A new comedy/drama by Earl Lewin

“I’m a woman”, Jimmie’s / Jamie’s courageous confession to Harry, her best high school friend, ignites a series of events that impacts the lives of everyone Jamie knows. Her mother, Mary, doesn’t know how to help her. Her father can’t accept it, and his marriage disintegrates. Mary’s search for knowledge and acceptance leads to a local bar where she finds everybody is coping with something. Out of the friendships that develop there comes growth and understanding. Jamie’s need for support from Harry, who she has trusted her whole life, holds them tenuously together as their lives develop and change through college years and into their careers. Can this friendship survive when Harry marries into a very right leaning family?
